Part 1: Visiting Italy, Croatia, Slovenia and Dalmation Coast

WE ARE BACK.

Had such an amazing time visiting Italy, Slovenia, Croatia and Dalmation Coast. Did some awesome hikes through Cinqua Terra, Italy, visited the prison where Marco Polo was held in Genoa, Italy and dined at the house where Marco Polo lived. We tracked down the church where he is/was buried, and got lost navigating the streets of Venice. Croatia was also incredible. Sight-seen where Game of Thrones is filming in Dubrovnik and Sibenik and spent time in the centre of the old town in Korcula where Marco Polo was born and lived as a child. Met the “guardian of the gate” there! Slovenia was so very emotional for us. Met our cousins for the first time since moving to Canada. We were kids then, and now everyone is in their fifties with grown kids! How did this happen? We met relatives we never knew we had. We were introduced to friends we went to school with in grade 1. We strolled along the cobblestone streets rich in history though Koper, Piran and Maribor. We even tracked down a priest we knew as kids. We learned about our parents, grandparents and the origins of Polo family, our ancestors.  Please join us as we share our adventure with you.
